Equipment & Hardware

Yes, with Intermedia, you can have phones at any address (providing we offer service at that location). So, you can have 5 phones at the main office, 2 phones in the warehouse down the street and one phone at the sales person's home office. All of the phones work together as if they were one phone system.

There are two phone family options. One manufactured by Vertical Communications and the other by Polycom. Both will work for businesses of all sizes. However, only Polycom offers Conference Phones.

Yes, at any time you can contact Intermedia and purchase additional phones. Intermedia will configure the phones and ship them directly to you. You just plug the phone into your existing network and activate it through the Web Portal.

Yes, at any time you can contact Intermedia and purchase additional lines. By the time you are off the phone with Intermedia, the lines are setup and active.

Yes, the phones have these capabilities PLUS, call transfer, conference calling, redial call park, call hold handset mode, mute and much more.

Yes, the phones support any type of powered headset.

Yes, you can support a fax machine with a dedicated faxline. You will need to purchase a Fax Adapter that you will plug the fax machine into.

The desk phones wireless adapters use 802.11 G and run on a wireless network. This way, only your phone calls are on the wireless network.

Intermedia has multiple fail-over options to ensure you continue to receive your important phone calls. In the event that your phone system is down for any reason, incoming calls are automatically routed to fail over phone numbers (such as cell phones). Through the Admin Portal you can set up a different failover phone number for each phone if you choose.

Yes, Intermedia allows you to transfer or "port" your existing phone numbers. This applies to toll-free numbers as well.

Yes, each phone comes with its own voicemail box. The voicemail box can be accessed through the phone, by calling in from any phone or from each phones web portal. Users may also configure their voicemail box to send an email with a .WAV attachment when a voicemail is received. Lastly, users can forward voicemail messages to other users or groups of users through the phone or web.

Each phone can handle, at least, two calls. This means that if you are on a call and another call comes in, you will be alerted via a call waiting tone and your phone will display that another call is coming in. You may place the first caller on hold and take the second call. If a third call comes in, it will go to the voicemail box for that phone.

Yes, you may call your own phone from anywhere, allow it to forward to voicemail then enter your PIN. Additionally each user can go to www.accessline.com/login and enter the phone number of their phone and their PIN and can listen to their messages from any computer.

Shared Lines allow you to "line share" where a single phone line can support two or more phones. This is ideal in a work setting where you want many phones (or have many employees), but don't expect everyone to be using a phone at the exact same moment. By sharing phone lines, you can reduce your monthly costs without impacting call quality or forcing employees to share physical phones.

Setup & Installation

Intermedia will customize and ship your system right to your business. Our standard shipping utilizes UPS ground shipping that can take 3 to 5 days so typically orders are received about 7 business days from ordering. Overnight shipping is optionally available.

Transferring an existing number to Intermedia can take up to 3 weeks. Much of this depends on how quickly you submit your number transfer paperwork and the accuracy of the information you provide.

The phone system is a 'self-install' system. The system comes with simple, easy to follow instructions that takes only minutes. Our customer service department is also just a phone call away and is available free of charge should you need any assistance.

The phone system can be installed the day you receive it and only requires a few minutes per phone to set up.
